The North East of England is becoming well know for it warm and friendly welcome and for being a major centre of over seas investment.
The Modern Airport serviced by an excellent transportation and a direct rail network called the metro.

Passengers

The £27m extension opened January 2000 and is already well on the way to doubling there passengers throughput.

Why Newcastle?

Newcastle Has many photo spots in the Airport Grounds. There is also spot outside the Airport Area. Newcastle is an amazing city and has lots of culture and art, so there is also more reasons to come. Newcastle Airport was also voted the top UK regional Airport!

Photo Spots

Spot 1

Outside the Airport you can see the ATC Tower on the Right, the terminal in front of you and on the left next the Charter terminal some fencing. Well if you go over there, you may see planes parked up, or if you look top the right you will see the gates. Well it has a great view and would be great for a Airport Overview shot!

Spot 2

After the car is parked go into the holiday terminal building. In front of you theirs the check in desks on the left theirs the international arrivals and on the right theirs stairs, Go up those stairs. When your at the top walk straight ahead till you come to the end were theirs a 'COSTA COFFEE SHOP'. After that walk straight up where the toilets are on you right and the baby changing is on the left (not that you will need it!!) and theirs a pub on the right hand side also. You should be able to see double grey doors that lead on to the balcony. Go on there and Spot those planes.

Spot 3

If aircraft is landing Runway 7, you could take shots from the Car Park when a aircraft is on Approach.

Spot 4

The departure lounge also offers some good views, but only if you are flying from Newcastle.

Spot 5

Aeroclub- The aeroclub has got to be one of the best spotting places at NCL in my opinion. Aircraft taxi past you and it offers good views of all stands apart from stand 12 where KLM usually parks. They are happy for you to use the facility as long as you buy a drink

Spot 6

Spot 6 is outside the airport. You get great shots if aircraft are landing runway 7 and if the are taking of runway 25. You also get some good ramp shots. It is located about 1/2 mile south east of the airport next to the B6918.
